Saturday night in the Clark house. Taken with my iPhone.
My intentions when I started this 365 project was to take as many photos as I could with my dslr. Well, folks, as we know, I can’t always carry around my Canon. Like most of these days, the best camera is the one we have with us, and it’s usually our phones. Today, I had to pick up Freyja from Joel’s office because he had to stay for a Puppy Raiser meeting with Idunn. I got Freyja in the car and turned around and she had the most confused look on her face and she was looking for Joel. While this is in no way technically perfect, it’s a great shot into my everyday. Dogs and dog fur. (Which reminds me, I need to vacuum out my car.)
A little late with the post, but I shared the photo yesterday on Instagram and Facebook. This is Frida, an 11 year old boxer who lives two houses down from me. Isn’t she cute? Tamron 28-75mm 2.8 lens, Iso 200, 40mm, f/4.0 and 1/125 sec. Edited with Greater than Gatsby The Carving Tree Collection. I used Clean Edit Base, Iris Sparkle and Eye White on a very low opacity.
Freyja doesn’t care if the water is cold, she LOVES LOVES LOVES to swim. Normally I shoot her where I can see her face, but I loved this photo because she makes such a splash when she jumps in. She jumps in full force and has the best time. Notice, the green Wubba is in her mouth. Settings for this was ISO 1600, 75mm f/7.1 and 1/640 sec. It makes me cold just looking at her.
Freyja, our breeder for Southeastern Guide Dogs, has loved the pool ever since we first put her in it as a puppy. Her favorite thing is to catch and retrieve her Kong Water Wubba. This one came in today to replace her old one. My hubby accidentally ordered the wrong size so this one is GIANT! I am working on playing with my manual settings so this was the first time I was trying to capture movement. It’s harder than I thought. I shot this with my 85mm prime and the settings were ISO 1600, f 4.5 and 1/1000 sec. I’m loving this manual business. I had used it sparingly before, opting to shoot a lot of stuff on P or TV. I have a lot to learn, but so far, I am enjoying to process.
